What do Lebanese Female Writers Think About the Draft Law to Protect Women from Domestic Violence?

Abstract

The year 2011 is coming to a close and the legislative and executive branches of the government are still hesitant about tackling pressing issues that cannot be
further delayed. At the top of the list is the draft law for protecting women from family violence which was opposed, to varying degrees, by the clergy, politicians, and society in general. Adab, Fikr, Fann probed the opinions of some Lebanese female writers and intellectuals with respect to this issue.
