Temporary or Mut'a marriage is one of the most fiercely contested moral issues in Islam. When taking on the subject of Mut 'a marriage, Muslims enter a battle in which lines are drawn between the "Shiite" and the "Sunni" . The debate be tween these two fronts is endless, i. e., the Shiite consider this marriage to be legitimate, whereas according to the Sunni it is forbidden.
